In business, social media is used to market products, promote brands, connect to current customers, drive sales through advertising and promoting, gauge consumer trends, offering customer service and support and promote new business. In terms of customer feedback it makes it easy to tell a company about their experience with them. Business can respond inmediately, attend the customer problema, regain or rebuilt customer confidence.
Social media is also often used for Crowdsourcing. Customers can use social networking sites to offer ideas for future products or improvements to current ones.
